Judy and Johnny today and always know how much your friendship means to us. 
Whenever we think of you ….we are so reminded of all that we’ve shared through the years. You have been there for us! What fun we have had on all our vacations , family gatherings & our weekend visits ! We will always cherish the times we’ve had traveled the journey of life ! We have exchanged love , inspiration , encouragement , wisdom , strength and hope. We are forever grateful for our friendship and you both will be our best friends forever. ❤️until we meet again

May you rest in eternal peace with the love of your life. I always thought you looked liked Kenny Rogers. Whenever I see a picture of him or hear a song of his , I will always think of you. 

I hope you and Aunt Judy are dancing in the sky with the Angels.

Judy and I met Johnny at a dance on Patterson Park Avenue that her mother would allow us to go to on Friday nights. Of course Judy played hard to get for a couple of weeks but she finally agreed to dance with him. You could tell Johnny was smitten. He started coming to the house. At the time he was wearing. Red high   Tennis shoes and it seemed like they turn the corner before he did but they were in style back then. I do believe did Johnny fell  in love with Judy at first sight. He would’ve stood on his head if she had asked him to. He loved her with all of his being. They ended up getting married and it’s all history now. They don’t make men like Johnny anymore. He’s very much old school he is a very dedicated loving family man he is devoted to his wife his children his grandchildren, And his great grandchildren. He would do anything for his family. He has always been that way. He liked  to act tough and gruff, but he is a big soft teddy bear and he just doesn’t want people to know .  Johnny was like one of my brothers there was no Inlaw . When you love someone for 57 years they are straight family there’s no holds barred Johnny was family. I loved him, I i’m going to miss him and with all of my heart. I regret the fact that I have not been able to see him for several weeks and I understand with all of his illness the reasons why and then again may be God was preparing us for the inevitable. But I loved you John Martin and I will miss you until the day the The good Lord calls me home and I can join you and Judy. And what a glorious reunion that will be. I miss all of you so much. I love you fly high.

First time I meet Johnny I was 15 years old and I was scared to death . He had a stern look on his face and a very dry sense of humor you didn’t know if he was serious or kidding . I quickly figured him out and discovered he was a teddy bear with such an amazing heart . If I forgot to kiss him hi and goodbye he always let me know it . I feel in love instantly and knew he would be here if I needed him. I always thought of him as a father figure and not a brother in law. He always was kidding around and every restaurant  owner knew him personally. I loved when we would visit in Ohio as soon as any where we walked into store , grocery store or restaurant they knew him by his name and knew they cared about him deeply . He was just able to build relationships naturally. I called him Kenny Rodgers and I will miss him terribly. . I love you Johnny and praying you and Judy are dancing in heaven with no pain or illness . 

As a young person, my first memories of John Martin(Jr) were that he came across as a very serious and intimidating man.  John grew up in the “strong silent type” generation of men, and his look fit the stereotype.  However, it didn’t take long to realize that John was funny and had a gregarious personality, although I must preface that: unless someone upset his family or friends.

If you knew John, you knew Judy, and in this, you know what True Love or the meaning of a Soul mate is.  Together they raised three daughters and a son, not an easy task.  I am not sure if John ever had enough closet space, hot water for a shower, or time to talk at the dining room table, but he ensured his family had all they needed(and more).

John and Judy were not unique as a married couple, and they had the same ups and downs, periods of turbulence that every couple has; however they did have perseverance and Love.  In this generation, we have found a way to justify not fighting for family or giving up because we “grew apart.”  John and Judy pushed through to keep their oath to God, themselves, and family.  They understood the true meaning of Love.

Today when I received a message from Tina that her dad had passed away, I was shocked.  I was trying to grasp how Deb, Kim, Tina, John III, and the Grand and Great Grand Kids would be able to cope with another loss so untimely.

Tonight when I was able to sit and absorb the tragedy, it occurred to me.  John Martin has been through severe injuries, many illnesses, and cancer.  His strength to fight through this adversity was inconceivable.

John Martin overcame so much in his life. However, the one thing he could not overcome was the loss of Judy, his Solemate, and one True Love.  Today they are together again, as they had been for over six decades on this earth.  They are now together forever, in peace.

I pray for God's love and peace to the entire family.
