Dorothy Heise

On Thursday, July 21, 2011 Dorothy Lucy Heise, 91, of Fallston, MD went home to be with the Lord at Madonna Heritage where she resided. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Heise Jr. Mrs. Heise was born in Baltimore, MD on October 5, 1919, the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Florence (Blakely) Kirby. She was a 1937 graduate of Eastern High School and worked for various insurance companies including the Harford Mutual Insurance Company of Bel Air, MD, then the Department of the Army at Edgewood Arsenal, Edgewood, MD from which she retired in 1971. She loved flowers, traveling, puzzles, and crocheting. Mrs. Heise is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy R. Heise of Bel Air, MD; Barbara H. Lane, and her husband Lionel A. Lane, of Fallston, MD; Helen H. Cox and her husband, William B. Cox, of Fallston, MD. Her five grandchildren, Stacy L. Reagan of Tinton, Falls, NJ; David B. Cox of Bel Air, MD; Douglas A. Cox of Churchville, MD; Robert A. Lane, Sr. of Fallston, MD; Mark A. Lane of New Freedom, PA; and her 11 great-grandchildren.She is also survived by one living brother, Lawrence Kirby of Essex, MD.

Visitation will be received at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. (at Rt. 24) on Sunday July 24, 2011 from 2-5 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church Rock Spring in Forest Hill, MD with Reverend Frances LaBlanc officiating. Interment will take place at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, in Bel Air, MD.
