On February 25, 2022 Diane Jaclyn Alkins (nee Struck) passed away. She was the beloved wife of Brian M. Alkins; devoted Mother of David Alkins and his wife Vicki of White Marsh-MD, Michael Alkins (deceased), Jeanette Bourne and her husband Allen of Canton-GA, Mathew Alkins and his wife Tammy of Abingdon-MD, Suzanne Biggs and her husband Chris of Abingdon-MD, Andrew Alkins and his partner Porsha Pinder of Cockeysville-MD; dear Daughter of Jacquelyn Struck and the late Joseph Struck Sr; dear Sister of Linda Henrickson (Art Jr), Joseph Struck Jr, Danny Struck (deceased), Lois Maki (Lauri Jr), David Struck (Karin), Laurie Kaebisch (Joseph), Daryl Struck (deceased); loving Granny of 17 Grandchildren: Nathan, Brandon, Eva and Lauren Alkins (children of David & Vicki), Emma, Abby, Josh, Dominic, Jonathan, Zach, and Clara Bourne (children of Jeanette & Allen), Madison and Bret Alkins (children of Mathew & Tammy), Sofia, Layla, Caleb and Ellis Biggs (children of Suzanne & Chris).
Diane worked as a Bookkeeper and Daycare Provider over the years, and she enjoyed praying, reading, knitting, puzzles, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren in her retirement with Brian.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church (Bradshaw). Interment will follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery (Fullerton). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane's name can be made to any Birthright Pregnancy Center.
