Jason Michael Forsythe, 35, of Beech Grove, died, Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born November 17, 1983 in Naples, Florida, son of mother Michelle (Mikol) Boettjer and Ronald “Todd” Forsythe. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He later attended Ivy Tech Community College and graduated with an applied science degree in construction. He dedicated his adult life to Wilhelm Construction as a Layout Engineer.
Jason played football, basketball, baseball, and soccer through high school. He loved the outdoors and all things motor sports related; especially ATVs. He worked his way through college at the FBO section of the Wilmington airport. He loved planes and skydiving and aspired to get his pilot license one day. He loved to work with his hands and fix things. He was always thinking of ideas to patent. He loved the beach and it was always calling him back. He was a blessing to his family and brought them nothing but pride. In recent times, a dark cloud hung over him he couldn’t escape.
Jason is survived by his parents, Michelle (Mikol) and Robert “Scott” Boettjer of Beech Grove and Ronald “Todd” and Tammy Forsythe of Clay City, Indiana; step brother, Fred Boettjer and his wife, Jenifer, of Cape Coral, Florida; half siblings, Jerry and Shanelle Forsythe of Clay City, Indiana; maternal grandfather, Frederick Boettjer of Midlothian, Virginia; paternal grandparents, Ronald Dean and Cheryl Forsythe of Martinsville, Indiana and Roberta and Jerry Cole of Nancy, Kentucky; nephews, Samuel and Isaac Boettjer of Cape Coral, Florida; niece, Aubrey Forsythe of Clay City, Indiana; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jason is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Marena Mikol of Franklin, North Carolina and Ruth Ann Boettjer of Peru, Indiana.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, Indiana. His celebration of life will be 3:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
