Donald Rene Stout

Donald Rene Stout, age 68, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022. Donald was born in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Robert Rene Stout and Deane Elizabeth (Zumbrun) Stout. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Stout. Donald retired from Amtrak in 2014 where he worked as a boilermaker/blacksmith. He was a member of Local 51 and served as secretary/treasurer for many years. He was a long time member of the Eagles. Don was an accomplished carpenter and was always willing to lend a hand with projects, especially the providing instruction and supervision part. He loved to travel anywhere, fish, cruise in his golf cart, and didn't mind a drink. He never met a stranger and will be remembered as always bringing the fun. Papaw Don will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife, Lisa Dawn (Sexton) Stout; children, Stacy Stout (Robert Sherfick), Carolyn Reese (Jason), Randy Fitzpatrick (Jami Gray), and Tara McClain (Kyle); grandchildren, Jacob Hargraves, Jaden Smith, Nathan Frazer, Lillian Cloud, Ashlyn McClain, William McClain, Cameron Fitzpatrick, Kynden Fitzpatrick, Kaysen Fitzpatrick, and Kynzi Fitzpatrick; siblings, Steve Stout, Karen Goins, and Sandy Gardner; and many extended family members and friends including his extra "adopted" kids and grandkids.

The family will have a celebration of life at the Beech Grove FOE on November 13 from 1-5pm.
