Ms. Shirley Jean Martin

She went on to have a 25 year long career working as a toll collector at the West Virginia Turnpike. Shirley was given a commendation during her years working there for her wonderful customer service.

Shirley married Charles Martin and they spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2012.

Shirley loved her animals and her church. She was an avid member of the Pax Advent Christian Church. Shirley, also, enjoyed spending time at family gatherings with those that she loved.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Anthony Martin of Beaver, WV; father Sherman Maynor of Clear Creek, WV; mother Audrey Treadway of Artie, WV; and her sisters Joanne Gill of Prosperity, WV and Nancy Martin of Lenoir, Tennessee.

Those left to cherish Shirley's memory are her sisters Judy Belcher of Pax, WV, Gale Maynor of Pax, WV, and Reta Smith of Mount Tabor, WV; brother Larry Maynor of Pax, WV; and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to her friends A. J. Minor, Evan and Tina Maynor, and Dwayne Williams for all their help. A special thanks to Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the care that they gave Shirley.

In accordance with Shirley's wishes, she will be buried at a later date. Blue Ridge Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
