He was born October 2, 1946 at Stirrat, WV to the late William and Alma Jeffrey Calloway. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Dale Calloway; nephews, Brett and John; niece, Carrie Calloway and his father-in-law, Emory Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 27 years, Cynthia Lynne Williams Calloway of Glen Daniel; his children, son, Robert Kelly Calloway Jr. and wife Cathy of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Tammy McCormick and husband, Bret of Erlanger, KY; son, Daniel Ray Calloway and wife, Amy Jo of Fayetteville, WV; Nancy Vaughn, his first wife and the mother of his children of Glen Daniel; son, Charles Cowley and wife, Wendy, Rachel Toler and husband, Aaron both of Glen Daniel, WV, Ryan Cowley and wife, Kim of Fredericksburg, VA.
His siblings; brothers, Bill Douglas Calloway, Kenneth Calloway and wife, Carol; sisters, Linda Sue Cook and Elizabeth Ann Calloway all of Glen Daniel, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Wills of Coal City, WV.
Bob loved all of his grandchildren: Lexus, Delanee, Parker, Evan, Eli, Joseph, Mia, Reagan, Autumn, Jacob, Joseph, Andrew, Rosalee, William, Kiersten, Josie, Charles, Addie, Raylan; and one great-granddaughter, River Lee. He loved all of his nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from Man High School in 1964 and enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 17. He served at Malmstrom and Offutt Air Force Bases receiving an honorable discharge.
Bob owned and operated several trucking/coal mining companies and a car wash for many years in Glen Daniel. After retiring, he taught miners' training classes.
To his family Bob was everything; hero, advisor, comedian, entertainer, and best friend. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Bob was very patient and kind to all. He enjoyed traveling, boating, being outdoors and especially loved singing and playing his guitar.
Bob, as a Christian, was a wonderful person who loved the Lord. He will be missed beyond measure.
