Michael David Kirk “Tree”, 58, of Odd. Went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2021.
Michael went by the nicknames of “Tree” and “Learch”
He was the son of the late Clifford and Louise Elta Kirk. He was a caring man that served the Lord. Michael served his country proudly in the United States Army; he loved gardening, farming, metal fabrication, welding, working, and being outdoors. He had served as a Sunday School Teacher for close to 10 years. He was currently attending Mountain Valley Baptist Church. His passion was helping others, a man that truly never met a stranger; he had a wonderful sense of humor, loved making people smile, and was blessed with the gift of talking to others.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Charlotte Ann Kirk of Odd; two sons, Arthur and wife, Amanda of Ravenswood, Isaac and wife Nikki of Daniels; two brothers, Robert F. and wife, Sandy of Beckley, Patrick and wife, Rena of Shady Spring; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Marrisa of Ravenswood; three grandsons, David, Jared, and Evan of Ravenswood, who was his world. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Michael David Kirk will be held 1:00PM Monday, March 8, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Following the services Michael will be laid to rest at the Odd Community Cemetery, Odd, WV. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
In keeping with the current CDC guidelines, facial coverings must be worn while in the building, and social distancing must be practiced.
