I remember when I was younger me and my little sister would make a special trip to Kroger’s all the time just to see Larry. He always had a smile on his face and was just so filled with joy. Larry, Laura, and Kathy brought me my horse Missy back in 2015 and I still remember that day so vividly. We all had a lot of good times with the horses and it just brought us all together. I’ll miss your sweet, smiling face and funny jokes to me and my sister, Larry. I know we’ll all see you again one day. Love you.

Larry was the best bother I could ever ask for. He was there for me when I needed him. He is home with mom and dad. He is walking the streets of gold. Love you so much. Miss you.

I remember when I was little I would always ask to go to Kroger’s. Mammy wouldn’t know why so I said I needed something. I would grab a little buggy and go zooming around the store to find Larry. When I couldn’t find him I would pout. So I would wait till he came out the doors and gave him a big hug which always made my day. We would talk laugh a lot. Boy do I miss those times. I love and miss you Larry. ❤️❤️❤️

Boy do i have alot of memories with Larry, from hunting camp to all the  carpentry and life skills he taught me. He was a one of a kind always there when you needed someone the most. The memory that sticks out the most to me is a hunting camp story. We always went on thanksgiving week, the first evening we were there I got a nice buck, I called the guys back at camp and told them i had shot a doe with only 3 legs. When i showed back up at camp with the buck, Larry was excited to see 3 legged doe, but when he looked in the back of the truck what he seen was that big buck, he was still excited but couldnt believe i tricked him like that. Well next morning rolls around we all hit the woods again, about an hour after daylight i hear a shot and know it was Larry. He calls me and says i shot a 3 legged doe, I say to myself he is pullin my leg now he must of got a nice buck. I go to where Larry is to help him get the deer out of the woods, and when he shows me where the deer is I was very surprised to see it really was a 3 legged doe. Larry didnt even like to shoot a doe, I know the only reason he did that day was to get me back for tricking him. I have had some of the best times of my life with Larry, and will miss him like crazy. I know he is now in a better place though, and no longer in pain. I hope one day I can grow to be half the man he was.

When I think about Larry I can’t help but see his contagious smile! Larry treated everyone he was close with like family even if they weren’t. When having a family event or cookout Larry and Kathy had to be there or we were missing some of the most important guests. Larry loved all our babies so much and they love him too!

A memory that came to mind for me the other day was something that most people wouldn’t think anything about but we had my daughters four wheeler stall out on us down the road and couldn’t get it started. Larry came buy on his four wheeler hooked us up with a rope and pulled us home. He was just that kind of person. Loved everyone!! Wanted to help in whatever way he could. 

We will truly miss Larry!!! I know that he is in heaven and I can’t wait to see him again one day, but until then you will miss you here on earth Larry! We love you!

I am grateful of the many wonderful memories my family and I have had over the years. With each of those memories, I cannot help but think of the words intentional and memorable. You always greeted me  and my family with a big smile and never left out a joke when possible. On one occasion, you and your lovely wife were walking by and you had a short, but memorable conversation with my son. From that point on whenever he seen you, he jumped at the opportunity to say hello. People tend to gravitate towards others who give them their time. If I’ve learned one thing from your life on this earth, it’s to be intentional with those that I come in contact with each and everyday. You were one of a kind Larry and will be greatly missed by many.❤️

Where do I even start? Larry has always looked out for me even while he was sick. He always called me to check on me, I would ask him how are you feeling today? “His reply would be don’t worry about me just worry about yourself I’m fine.”  I’m sure going to miss all the texts and phone calls!  Larry has been one of the greatest friends someone could ever ask for. So much so that I consider him family. 

 He was such a crafty man, Larry has either built me or taught my husband how to build several of the items in my home which I will cherish. Let me tell you he took pride in his craftsmanship! He also was a hunter and I’ve heard so many stories of the times spent at the hunting camp with my son Bentley.  Boy did Bentley and Larry love picking on each other, always betting to see who was going to get the better deer.  

As much as I hate saying goodbye I know your in heaven and I will get to see you again someday. Until then take care of my sweet babies for me and let them know how much they are loved. With much love always, Jannie💕

I have so many great memories with Larry. As a best friend of Laura I got to know Larry as a child, remembering him as the “home room” dad. Showing up to the school parties picking and laughing with the kids.  As us kids grew up our families became very close and shared so many great memories together. Countless cookouts, birthday parties, four-wheeler rides, weddings of all us kids and so many more. 

Larry brought kindness everywhere he went and was so kind to share the gifts God blessed him with. He helped teach my husband to wood work and shared his knowledge and tools lending a helping hand. He has been so amazing to my boys Ayden and Axel and they love him so very much. 

As much as it hurts as I am writing this, Larry makes me want to strive harder to get to Heaven and see his smiling face again. You will forever be missed and loved, but for while I am still here on this earth I want to love harder, spread kindness and a helping hand just like you always did ❤️ 

You were one of the greatest brother a sister could ever ask for. You were always there for me. I miss you so much. I love you. You will forever be in my heart ❤I will see you again someday soon. 

We haven't known Larry as long as some of you, but I know what a great man was. Even if you didn't know him at all, you just have to look at the pictures to tell how much he loved his family and friends. You can see the happiness and love on his face when he looked at Kathy and Laura. And he had a great Christian testimony. The last time I saw him he was worried about leaving Kathy. She will be ok Larry because she will have God and she will always have the memories you shared. You are already missed.

Larry was truly one of a kind . He always had a smile  and loved joking around with everyone. Over the years I’ve seen the great love you had for your family and as the years went by our families became so close that we considered ourselves one big family ❤️. 
It’s been so sweet to see the friendship you and Jim have had and I will forever be grateful to you for being a great best friend. I’m definitely going to miss you Larry Lucas , until we meet again in Heaven ❤️

The first time I remember meeting Larry was at a cookout at their house ❤️.
He welcomed me in like a daughter and I felt as if i’d known them for years. I was able to see the love he had for Kathy, Laura, and the friends (that were more like family) that were there. He showed me the love of Jesus when he welcomed me in that day. I love you all!

I’ve known Larry ever since he started dating my best friend, Kathy almost 40 years ago.    I have many fond memories of him but some of my favorites are when he drove my piece of junk car with bald tires from Bradley to the airport in Beaver in a snow storm to pick up my husband who had been away at basic training.  ❤️  Fast forward 30 some years to the time we all went to the beach together and he went through the zombie haunted house with me and my daughter.  He held onto my shirt the whole time and we all squealed like little girls.  I laughed til i cried!  And then just last year we went to Tennessee and rented a cabin for the week and a bear walked right up to him as he was packing up his truck and we laughed and said how lucky Larry (or the bear!)  was that the bear didn’t come up on the porch that morning  while he was out there napping!    Larry never met a stranger and would do anything to help anyone that needed it.   He will be missed!!

Larry has always been such a sweet and kind person! Forever a smile on his face!! His daughter and my daughter were friends since 7th grade, and he and Kathy both treated her with such a loving attitude!!! Wonderful parents and a wonderfuldaughter! I will always cherish his memories, and pray for the best for his family, until they are all together again!!!

You were one of the greatest uncles anyone could ever have. You always had a smile on your face. RIP, love you.
