Clinton Carlos Claypool Clinton Carlos Claypool, 76 of Beckley, passed away November 11, 2015 following a long illness. He was the son of the late Herbert Claypool and Essie Mae Harmon Claypool. He was born May 31, 1939 in Fayette County, West Virginia. Clinton worked as a coal miner. He was a proud member of the American Legion and the UMWA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginseinging, being in the woods and was of the Christian faith. In addition to Clinton’s parents, those preceding him in death are sons, Clayton and Clinton Claypool; brothers, Edward, Eugene and Elton Claypool. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Georgia Thomas Claypool of Beckley; son, Paul Claypool and wife Lisa of Piney View; daughters, Janet Kincaid and husband Johnny of Rupert, Patti Radford and husband Paul Alan of Shady Spring and Ellen Vipperman and husband Tim of Rupert; brothers, Cody Claypool and wife Katie of Charlotte, NC, Thomas Claypool and wife Audrey of Catlett, VA and David Claypool of Piney View; sister, Odessa Shuck and husband Harold of Danese along with 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Friends may gather with the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, Monday, November 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Bragg officiating.
