Betty Dean Pettry

She attended Carlisle First Church of God. She loved spending time with her family.

She was born on February 11, 1936 to Mead Allen and Flora Vealey Allen. In addition to her parents, she will be united with her loving husband of 65 years, Billy Pettry; four brothers, Orley Allen, Robert Allen, Carlos Allen, and Kenneth Allen; a son-in-law, Steve Clay; and a great, granddaughter, Ashlyn Hylton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, William R. Pettry and wife, Deborah of Beckley; daughter, Anita Kay Clay of Bradley; sister-in-law, Anna Lou Pettry Shoup and husband, Dean Shoup of Bloomville, OH; sister-in-law, Loretta Allen of Cleveland, OH; one granddaughter, Rebecca Clay Hylton and husband Cody of Mississippi; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Madeline Hylton of Mississippi; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services to celebrate the life of Betty Dean Pettry will be held 1:00PM Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Dean Shoup and Richard Allen officiating. Following the services Betty will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Gary Pack, Larry Hudson, Rick Daniel, Clarence Thompson, Dallas Settle, and Dean Bonifacio will be serving as pallbearers.

Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
