Basil Henry Hall

Basil Henry Hall, 96, was born July 7, 1923 in Eccles, WV and passed away May 25, 2020 at his home in Crab Orchard, WV. His service will be held on Saturday May 30th at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley, WV. Visitation begins at 11 AM and the service will follow at noon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert Hall of Sun City Center, Florida and his daughter, Nancy Thomas of Crab Orchard, WV; his granddaughter, Jennifer Cangemi of Navarre, FL; grandson, Mark Hall of Hinton, WV; great granddaughters, Brittany McMillan, Brooke, and Breanna Haney; great grandsons, Mark, Tyler, James and Cameron Hall; great great grandsons, Easton Wright and Zane McMillan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hall; his brothers Kent and Mont Jr, and sisters, Edith and Elba.

Basil spent his childhood in Beckley WV. He then went on to join the US Army at the start of World War 2 where he earned an American Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Star after serving for 4 years. After his honorable service, he served his fellow veterans as a nursing assistant at the Beckley VA Hospital where he retired. He spent his retirement surrounded by family and friends.
