Stephen Jay McLeod

Stephen Jay McLeod, born on January 11, 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in Hillsboro, Oregon. He was a man celebrated for his intelligence, calm demeanor, and capacity for love and forgiveness. Stephen took immense pride in his family and his work.

Stephen was a skilled handyman and an avid car enthusiast. His garage was his sanctuary, a place where he could tinker with engines and fix anything that needed repair. These hobbies were more than just pastimes; they were a testament to his knack for problem-solving and his hands-on approach to life.

He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Josephine McLeod, and his cherished children, Stephanie McLeod, Tanya McLeod-Peeples, Travis McLeod and his wife Stacey, Lee James Lagazon and his wife Jaymee, Lesley Osban and her husband Adam, and Latrell Lagazon. Stephen was a proud grandfather to Madison, Kevin, Sara, Liam, Hailey, Sev, Aian, and Xyra. He is also survived by his brother, Mike McLeod. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Mary Madeline McLeod.

A memorial service will be held at Pegg, Paxson, and Springer Funeral Chapel on August 30, from 5 to 9 PM, where family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Stephen are welcome to pay their respects and celebrate his remarkable life.
