Michael Clint “Mickey” Wilson, Sr., age 71, of Beaumont, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Services will be on Saturday, May 31 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Michael Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, May 30 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Mickey was born in Beaumont on October 11, 1942. He graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School and Lamar State Technical College with a BBA in accounting and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity. He retired from Gulf States Utilities as the Supervisor over Fuel Services with 30 years of service. Mickey was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed cooking and was known for his Christmas rib-eye. He loved fishing with his brothers and “adopted brothers”. For 20 years they met twice a year at the lake and at the coast and he always caught the “big fish.” He was a member of the CCA, the Live Wires Club, and a devout fan of his beloved University of Texas Longhorns. He will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint Leo and Mabel Burke Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Barbara Frost Wilson of Beaumont. Two sons; Michael Clint Wilson, Jr. and his wife Karen and their children Macey and Michael of Round Rock; William Wilson and his wife Christine and their children Graham and Lindsey of Cedar Park. His three brothers C.J. Wilson and his wife Beverly of Huntsville, Donald Wilson of Orange and Terry Wilson and his wife Patti of Port Arthur. His two sisters Carole Wilson Peet and her husband Delbert of Port Neches and Janie Wilson of Friendswood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers may be sent to Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont or Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
