Martha Fern Davis was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Martha will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Roy and Rosie White. Martha grew up in Amarillo but lived in Big Spring for some time as a child. Martha was raised with one sibling a sister Ruby. Martha and her sister were close growing up.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Martha enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime.
Empathic and loyal, Martha was committed to making her new family happy. She loved to take care of people. She always wanted to make sure that if you came to her house that you were comfortable.
Martha worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Martha was blessed with 2 children, One son Timothy, and one daughter Kimberly. Another blessing for Martha was the gift of 3 grandchildren, Dylan, Ariel, Hannah and one great granddaughter Sadie.
Fortunately, Martha enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Martha worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She was employed for 25 years by Walmart. Martha always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Martha enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were spending time with family and friends and bowling. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Martha enjoyed time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included a cruise to Cozumel and Pregreso Mexico and trips to Crystal Beach.
When Martha’s retirement finally arrived in 2020, she was well prepared. In retirement, she found new pleasure in bowling. Even in retirement, Martha continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances.
Martha passed away on December 23, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She is survived by daughter Kimberly and her husband Ronnie. Grandchildren Dylan, Ariel and Hannah and great granddaughter Sadie. Services were held at Forest Lawn.
Simply stated, Martha was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Martha leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Martha.
