Jimmie Hans Todd, 74, of Beaumont, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife Bobbie Jo of 30 years, his children, Brian Kahla and his wife Brianne, Kendra Chenault and her husband Ben, his grandsons Brock and Brady Kahla, Wyatt and Wesley Chenault. His sisters and their husbands Barbara and Jim Metz and Debbie and Johnny Hodges.
He was preceded by his parents, Jacob Todd and Irma Doughty, his brother Benjamin Todd, and his daughter Michelle Kahla.
A native of Heidelberg, Germany, Jimmie has lived in Beaumont for 35 years, and was a retired millwright after many years of faithful service with Louis Dreyfus Company. Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp serving 2 tours during the Vietnam War. Jimmie enjoyed motorcycle riding, photography, fishing at the beach, and spending time with his family.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with a military burial to be held at a later date at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Jimmie's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, on their website at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Jimmie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
