Billie Rae Clotiaux

Billie grew up in Harlingen, TX and graduated French High school in 1944. It was there she met her love Don Clotiaux, who she was married to for 75 years. They moved to Beaumont, TX where they raised their three children, Don Jr., Claudia, and Jeanne. Billie was an avid golfer and very much enjoyed being on the course while she lived in Wildwood, TX. Billie loved to sew and would make clothes for her children. It was important to her that everyone be well dressed. If she wasn't sewing clothes, she was buying them since she loved to shop. Billie was a self taught artist and also taught members of her family to paint. She enjoyed playing Kanasta with friends and family. Billie was a member of First Methodist Church and was part of the Women's Grief Group and used her excellent cooking skills to prepare and deliver food to members, as well as her family and those who knew her. She was known for her gumbos and gravy's and you could always find her in the kitchen whistling a tune. It was known that when you were invited for dinner, you stopped what you were doing and made your way to her home.

She loved her family and she lit up when they came came over to visit. She is survived by her husband Don, her children Claudia and husband Mike, and Jeanne, six grandchildren, Shane Clotiaux, Shannon, McQueen, Michael Mericle, Keri Rasberry, and Andy Rodgers. Billie also leaves ten great-grandchildren to cherish her memories. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Don Jr., 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

A gathering of Family and Friends will be held on December 30, 2020 at 1 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Billie's Life will be held on December 30, 2020 at 2 pm in the chapel. With her burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family has asked that masks be worn and social distancing respected. Services will be livestreamed via Facebook.
