Fidel Perez (Lelo) passed away January 21, 2014 at his home in Yucaipa, California. He was born October 26, 1955, in Zacatezca, Mexico to Andres Perez of Los Angeles and Antonia Perez of Mexico. At the age of 4, Fidel and his siblings moved to Los Angeles with his father and mother. Fidel lived in Los Angeles for 22 years. Among those years, Fidel lived with his Uncle David and Aunt Ramona Perez and their family in El Monte, California. Fidel and his cousin Dave had many wild and wonderful times growing up.
Fidel was 15 1/2 years old when he met the love of his life, Susan Ray. Fidel and Susan were married in 1978. Their wonderful family includes son Jason Perez (a skilled electrician); daughter Sarina Perez (who attends Crafton Hills College) and son Michael Perez whom passed away in 2009 and is with God and daughter-in-law Vanessa. Fidel also has 7 wonderful, fun loving grandchildren Olivia, Charlee, Sonny, Lilly, Ruby, Molly and lil' Sailor.
Fidel was a manager of The Reds and Pirates Baseball Team with Little League in Yucaipa for over 20 years. Fidel enjoyed managing baseball of all ages. He won many baseball titles throughout the years. Fidel managed from T-Ball all the way to Senior 17 to 18 year old teams. Fidel also played on the Men's Athletics traveling team. Fidel also worked in Underground construction for 20 years.
Fidel is survived by his loving wife Susan J. Perez, son Jason Perez, daughter Sarina Perez, father Andres Perez and five sisters Arelia Lee, Lourdas Perez, Griselda Lucero, Zolia Guevara and Orelia Perez. Fidel's mother Antonia Perez and two brothers Javier and Andy Perez rest in peace with the Lord.
Visitation Friday, January 31, 2014, at 3:00pm followed by funeral service at 4:00pm, both at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California.
Fidel was a fun loving wonderful husband, father and friend. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by all.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
