Sharon Elizabeth Jones

Sharon Elizabeth Jones, age 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 25, 2020. She was born on December 17, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Gerald E. Jessee and Jimmibel Kimball Jessee. On April 15, 1961, she married the love of her life, John David Jones, at her parents’ home in Baytown, Texas.

In high school, Sharon was a member of the choir and the Eastern Stars at Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the choir at Robert E. Lee High School.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gerald K. Jessee, and her father and mother-in-law, Edwin and Opal Jones.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 59 years, her son, Shannon David Jones, her daughter, Shonda Elizabeth Malone and her husband Larry. Grandchildren are Brandon Jones and wife Stephanie, Corey Jones and wife Megan, Hayden Jones and wife Paige, Christopher Jones and fiancé Cheyanne Davenport, Amanda Malone and fiancé Quanterrious Mollique, James Malone and fiancé Brittany Lindsey, and Felicia Vogler and her husband Paul; brother-in-law Keith Mixon and sister-in-law Betty Mixon. Sharon is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and her dog, Doodle.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Earthman Funeral Home. Services are Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 11 am followed by a graveside service at Memory Gardens cemetery. Officiating the service is Buck Trice.
