Mary was a member of St. John United Methodist Church since 1954. She retired from Goose Creek School District after 26 years of faithful service. Mary loved and enjoyed being around people. She was a social butterfly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jimmie Gibson; by both parents; and by her sister, Louise Cook.
She is survived by her sons, Ron Gibson and wife Vickie, David Gibson; grandchildren, Susan Hutsell and husband Charles, Brandy Nichols and husband Pat, Ronnie Gibson, James Gibson and wife Heather, Trent Gibson and wife Ashley; by six great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 am until the funeral service time which will begin at 10 am, on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. Burial will follow at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
