He served in the United States Air Force at Hickam Base in Hawaii for many years. He worked for General Telephone for 7 years, then worked at Exxon Chemical for over 20 years, then retired in 1999.
Larry had many hobbies; like riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle as often as he could and his favorite hobby was flying his model airplanes with the Baytown Props Club and could always be found either working on a plane or flying one at the airfield.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Wanda Carouthers, daughters Susan Carouthers Sneed and Laura Carouthers, son-in-law Kevin Sneed, grandson Lane Smith, Sisters Connie Dargel and Mary Bray and brother Chris Carouthers.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Carouthers, his mother, Gladys Carouthers and brother, Les Carouthers.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Dean Hall, Doug Hall, Mike Hall, Kevin Sneed, Eugene Clark and Wilbert Weckworth.
