Joyce Marie Warner, 82, loving sister, mother, and ""Nana"" passed away at The Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Baytown on Friday, May 8, 2015, after suffering a debilitating stroke. Joyce was born August 15, 1932, in Ganado, TX to Jack and Odessa Earls. She grew up in Baytown and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family at her home in Baytown. Her hobbies included watching movies, ""old favorites"", such as Gone with the Wind, working crossword puzzles, listening to the radio, reading home decorating magazines, and watching Houston Astro's baseball. Of course, we can't forget eating her favorite food from El Toro's Mexican Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Lee and Lizzie Earls and Luther and Ethel Garrett; and husband, Carroll ""Ace"" Warner. She is survived by her sister, Sherry Earls, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tuulia Bramlett, and daughter, Michelle Warner, all of Baytown; grandson, Lance Bramlett of Houston; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Her family would first like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to bring food, snacks, and other goodies for the long days and nights at the hospital and healthcare center. Then, a big thank you goes out to the very caring group of Baytown Fire and EMS teams that responded to our call for help. Next, the wonderful group of doctors and nurses that took care of Joyce while at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital. Finally, the kind and caring staff of administrators, doctors, and nurses who cared for her at The Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Baytown, including all of the fine people at Faith Community Hospice.
Her family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Navarre Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
