Joanne L. Jones

Joanne had a career as a clerk for several Harris County Judges. She was a member of the Baytown Professional Women’s Club and enjoyed baking, crocheting, playing Bingo, and taking care of babies in the church nursery.

She was preceded in death by her husband James “Buddy” Jones, her parents Herbert and Laurie Degens, her sister-in-law Caye Kominek, her mother and father-in-law James Ruby and Frenchie Jones.

She is survived by her sisters Suzanne Martin and Jill Conyer, her children Laurie Meyer, Cindy McHenry and her husband Steve, and James Ruben Jones Jr. Her grandchildren Amanda Majeed and her husband Kamran, Ashley McDonald, Marissa Donaldson, Kristopher McHenry and his wife Hannah, Nicole Jones and her husband Junior, Dominique Jones, Laura Katherine Jones, and James Ruben Jones III. Her great-grandchildren Kinnisyn McHenry, Kyndall McHenry, James Avalos, Chelsea Majeed, Lilliana Avalos, Cayelee Avalos, Jace Avalos, and one more great-grandbaby on the way. As well as many dearly loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Joanne will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521. A committal service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Rd., Baytown, Texas 77520.
