Gloria Hernandez Guerra

Gloria Hernandez Guerra, 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2024 in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on November 3, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas to Jesus and Eloisa Hernandez.

Gloria dedicated many years serving as an administrative assistant at St. Pius V Catholic Church until her retirement. She had a passion for baking that brought delight to many, as she was known for her delicious banana pudding, and enchanting magic pumpkin bread. She cherished her role as a devoted grandmother and found the greatest joy in spending time with her beloved grandson, Liam. Gloria shared 55 years of love and companionship with her husband, Luis Schreck Guerra. Her warm spirit, and culinary talents will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Luis Schreck Guerra; daughter Liza Marie Guerra-Reyes; son Von Schreck Guerra; daughter-in-law Ashley Reyna Guerra; son-in-law Enrique Reyes; and her grandson Liam Von Guerra.

The family would like to acknowledge and extend a special thank you to the Reyna family for the friendship, love, and compassionate care they have shown Gloria over the years.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr. Baytown, TX 77521 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm, with a Rosary being recited at 1:30 pm. A Memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm.
