Mike began a long career as a Refractory and Inspections Specialist in 1964 with Turn-Around Maintenance and later joined R. W. Jenkins in 1977. He gained worldwide recognition for his expertise and eventually retired from R. W. Jenkins in 2017. His love for his family was so great that he and his wife adopted their niece and nephew. Mike was known for his love of “catching fish”.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Olga and Richard Burnett, his wife Juanita “Ninie” Burnett, his infant son Michael Wayne and, nephew C. J. Kilcrease.
Mike is survived by his sister Sharon McCauley and her husband Dave; his niece Shanna Clark and her husband John; his nephew Billy Williams and his wife Lisa; his nephew Sammy Masters Jr. and his wife Carolyn; his niece Tammy Masters; his grandsons Justin and Austin Clark; and his great-nieces and nephews Jennifer Kilcrease Dittman, Kaleb Kilcrease, Samantha Masters, and Dirk Masters.
The family is honoring Mike’s wishes that he be cremated and have no public services.
