Earl Ray Sowders

He was married to Sharon Sowders for 46 years. Earl worked as a chemical operator for many years, until his retirement. Earl enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved so very much.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon and his parents, John and Ellen Sowders. He is survived by his daughter, Mindy Sitton and husband Shawn; daughter, Holly Guidry and husband Brian; grandchildren, Ty, Kyle, Kara and Seth Sitton; Savannah and Brayden Guidry; sister, Carol Sullivan and husband, Michael as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Earl loved to travel to the Texas Hill Country with the love of his life, Sharon. While vacationing, they made some very special friends, Bob and Naomi Ruud of Minnesota. Earl also enjoyed restoring muscle cars and going to car shows with his long-time buddies.

Earl is deeply missed by all of those he loved and cared for, but especially by his children and grandchildren and his dog, Penny.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.
