Daisy F. Roberts

Daisy F. Roberts, 94, of Dayton, TX, formerly Baytown, was born September 21, 1914 in Grimes County and passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 in a local hospital. She was a retired recovery room technician at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and volunteered there after her retirement. She was a member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church, the Kenefick Activities Group and the Baytown Grandmother's Club #346.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. L. ""Dutch"" Roberts; sisters, Jackie Hill and Doris Cherone; and brother, Dalton Clary. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dutchess J. and Scott Stiles of Dayton; brother, R. B. Clary of Grimes County; grandchildren and their spouses, Shannon and Billy Nash, Dee Dee and Mike Elledge, Jeremy and Lauren Averett, Randi Averett, Scotty and Brittney Stiles, Chad and Cindy Stiles and Josh Stiles; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church, 3536 FM 1008, Dayton, TX 77535. Graveside services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Grimes County at the Cross Cemetery in Cross, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Clary, Walter Clary, Carl Clary, Jason Clary, Kenneth Clary, Scotty Stiles, Chad Stiles and Josh Stiles. The honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Averett.
