Cheryl Sue-Rabke

A native Baytonian and proud Texan, Cheryl Sue was born to Alvin “Charlie” Sue and Martha (Pylate) Sue in Baytown at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and grew up on Wallisville Rd., with some of her life-long friends. Those were the good ol’ days, for sure.

Cheryl loved Horses, Rodeo, C/W Dancing (especially with Friend Jimmy Ray Sorrels of Baytown), Houston Astros and Texans, Bowling, and was somewhat of a Pool Shark earlier in life...She was Fiercely competitive! A 20+ year survivor of Breast Cancer, she was a frequent supporter of the American Breast Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Cheryl had an extremely kind and loving heart, always ready to help others even when she had struggles of her own. She never turned people away and was eager to love and forgive all deserving souls...sweet to a fault, though a ferocious fighter and defender of people, pets, and all the things she believed in, cared about, and loved. She had a unique gift for making friends and was fiercely loyal to each and every one of hers.

Cheryl is survived by: Husband David Rabke, also of Baytown, whom she deeply loved and adored, Mother-In-Law, Renee Rabke as well as Davids entire Family and children...David Rabke Jr and wife Annie, daughter Evette (Rabke) Tribes and husband Kirk, and Cheryl was known as “YaYa” to Grandsons Henry and Joshua Tribes.

Cheryl is also survived by: Brother Tracy Sue and wife Cristhel; Former Sister-in-Law Tammie Tillman, Nieces/Nephews Amie Sue and wife Laura, Casey Sue and wife Brooke with Spencer, Greyson, and Calvin Sue, Katie (Sue) Watts and husband Justin Watts with Adella, Fisher, and Deacon Watts. Cousin/Sister Patricia (Pylate) Kelly and husband Jeff Kelly of Marion, LA along with children Jennifer Whatley and Leeann Perkins. Cousins Eddie Erickson and Robert Erickson along with their spouses and children.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her Father Alvin Charles “Charlie" Sue and Mother Martha Lee (Sue) Pylate, along with all Grandparents.

Cheryl Sue was such a special and unique person. She was honest to a fault. You never had to guess what she was thinking; she would tell you, whether the words came out right or not. Her intentions were always honorable. She had her own personal brand of grace and lived her life with generosity and beauty.

One final word about Cheryl Sue: if you knew her well enough to love her, and you ever said, “I love you,” she always ended with, “love you more.” So to this, we get to end it back to her last, this time.
