Caroline Troy

Caroline Troy, 95, of Baytown was born October 21, 1916 in Canarsie, NY and passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church and the Highlands Senior Citizens Group. She loved working with flowers and listening to the Pickin and Grinnin Band in Highlands.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Littleton Wellington, Sr. and Caroline Sweetman; husband, Michael Troy; sister, Helen Lutz; and brother, Littleton Wellington Sweetman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Patrick Luby of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Rose Troy of Oceanside, NY and Robert and Lynne Troy of Houston; sisters-in-law, Jossie Troiano of Freehold, NJ and Fay Farino of Howard Beach, NY; best friend, Ralph ""Tex"" Coyer of Baytown; grandchildren and spouses, Kathy and Mike Wadley and Susan and Tim Hazelwood, all of Baytown; Deborah and Ed Koehler of Houston, Michelle and James Knox of Baytown, Richard and Nellie Troy and Scott and Mary Troy, all of Long Island, NY, and Gina, Mathew, Nathan, Joshua, Timothy, and Shawna Troy, all of Houston; great grandchildren, Corey Wadley, Tara, Justin, and Rachel Hazelwood, Zachary and Christina Isaacks, Devyn and Cole Knox, Kaylee, Julia, and Rocco Troy, Scott and Addison Troy, Isaac Ramsey, and Athena Troy; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, April 5, 2012 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Luis Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Her family would like to say a special ""thank you"" to all of the caregivers at Swan Manor for all of the love and care that they gave to their mother and also thanks to the staff of Faith Community Hospice.
