Buck was a resident of Baytown since 1950, a retired Supervisor from Exxon and a member of First Christian Church, the Optimist Club of Baytown and the Buckholts Masonic Lodge #270 AF&AM and was a US Navy veteran.
Mr. Raney was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lyndell Raney. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Raney of Baytown; children, Glenda Olive and her husband, Reggie of Groveton, Mike Raney and his wife, Alexis and Jeff Raney and his wife, Jackie all of Beaumont; sister, Marie Schiller of Cameron, Texas; brother, James Harold Raney and his wife Betty of Pasadena; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brant Olive, Buck Olive, Kevin Raney, Jack Raney, Jesse Raney and Jonah Olive. Honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Fanning.
