Billy Darl Moyer

Billy Darl Moyer, 89, long-time resident of Baytown, TX passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at Proverbial Care Assisted Living in Pearland, TX. He was born August 28, 1928 in Borger, TX to the late James Thomas and Carolyn Deda Moyer.

Bill joined the Army, with his twin brother Bobby, at the tender age of 17. After discharge he worked for the railroad in Borger before signing on with J.M. Huber Corp. He transferred to the Baytown Plant starting as a welder and rising to a supervisor in the Engineering Department.

After retirement he enjoyed traveling and working in his yard and house and golfing. He was a member of the Chambers County golf course.

Bill is survived by his son Arthur D. Moyer and wife Karla Moyer of Baytown, TX, daughter Tobie Matusek and husband Mark Ayers of Liverpool, TX, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Tanya Acrey of Crosby, TX and eight brothers and sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10AM at The Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX 77521.
