Angie Annette Lugo

Angie Annette Lugo, 57, of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. We are comforted knowing she is resting peacefully in God’s embrace, surrounded by the same love she selflessly gave to all.

Angie was born on December 22, 1966, in Houston, Texas to Margarita Lugo Ramirez. She attended Lee College and pursued Cosmetology, where she found joy in helping others feel seen, valued, and beautiful – inside and out.

Faith was the cornerstone of Angie’s life. A devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, she served joyfully and tirelessly, sharing God’s word and living out His teachings through acts of humility, love, and service. Her role in the National Nocturnal Adoration Society reflected her unwavering dedication to her faith and her community. Her life was a testament to love, humility, and compassion.

Angie had a way of making everyone feel loved. Her kindness was boundless, her faith unshakable, and her presence a source of comfort and joy. Whether it was laughing over a game of lotería, singing her heart out during karaoke, or offering a simple hug, Angie made every moment feel meaningful.

Her greatest joy was her daughter, Yaneli. Yaneli was the heart of Angie’s world—the source of her deepest pride, her greatest laughter, and her quiet strength. Together, they created a home filled with love and warmth, where even the smallest moments—playing with their beloved dog, Max, or sharing stories—became cherished memories. Angie was not only Yaneli’s mother but her greatest champion, her constant comfort, and her closest friend.

Angie leaves behind a family who adored her and whose lives are forever richer because of her love. She is survived by her daughter, Yaneli Suarez; her sister, Beatrice Garcia, and brother-in-law, Jose Garcia; her nephews, Jose Angel Garcia and Christopher Garcia; and her nieces, Elaine Lewis (husband, Johnathon Lewis), Christine Mendez (husband, Rafael Mendez), and Karina Garcia. She also leaves behind five great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends who loved her deeply.

Angie is reunited in eternal peace with her mother, Margarita Lugo; grandmother, Beatrice Lugo; aunts, Juanita Zamora, Mary Lugo Padilla, and Rosa Flores; uncle, Jose Luis Esquivel; nephew, James DeMatos; and cousins, Eustolio Diaz and Daniel Oseguera.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Houston Heart Health (Dr. Khoshnevis and Dr. Muppidi), Fresenius Dialysis, Harbor Hospice, and her dedicated caregivers—LaToya, Issa, and Genelle—for the care and compassion they showed Angie during her journey.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 19th, at 5:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 20th, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St, Baytown, TX 77520. Interment will be held at a later date.
