Alice Frances Jenkins

Alice Frances Bergen Jenkins was born on January 6,1940 to Edward and Jessie Bergen in West Columbia, Texas. She departed this life on September 27, 2024 at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On February 23, 1957, she married the love of her life Jerry Jenkins in Wild Peach, Texas. Together they resided in Angleton until they made their permanent home in Baytown where they raised their four children.

As an adult, Alice enjoyed dancing with Jerry, playing BINGO and spending time with her kids, grandkids and extended family.

Family was always at the forefront for her and Jerry and with each new baby, they were just as excited as the first. Jerry and Alice’s love started a legacy of 4 children, 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers Johnny, Eddie, Clyde and Claude, her beloved husband Jerry and infant children, Stephanie and Jerry Jr. To cherish her memory, Alice leaves behind children, Joseph Foster, Debra Mitchell, Marion Rodriguez and Charlie/Kim Jenkins, grandchildren, Glenn, Bobby, JayJay, Katie, Sarah, Angela, Erin, Rebekah, Cassie, Colleen, Chad, Kelsie, Trent, Taylor and Zachary, along with 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am, Friday, October 4, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521, with the funeral service to begin at 11 am. Committal will follow at Brookside Memorial Park, in Houston, TX. Pallbearers will be: Zachary Jenkins, Evan Andrews, Ivan Andrews, Reid Evans, Landon Curette, and Kadin McCord. Honorary Pallbearers: Gavin Rodriguez, Adam McIntyre, Grant Chisholm, Marshall Chisholm, and Cash Lopez.
