Virginia R. Vidrine passed away on Tuesday, December 6th of 2016 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of 75. Virginia was born in Oberlin, Louisiana and was a resident of Baton Rouge. She met Kenneth O. Vidrine, Sr. in Oberlin, LA where they were eventually married. She worked and owned part of their business, Louisiana State Optical for many years before retiring. She was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church and an avid attendee of Bible Study and was also a member of the choir. An avid traveler, she visited Jerusalem several years ago and held fond memories of all of her time traveling with friends. Virginia is survived by her children; Pinky Templet, Kenneth Vidrine Jr.; and her grandchildren; Amber Templet, Jasmine Templet, Kenneth Avery Vidrine, and her sister Bobbie Sonnier. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth O. Vidrine Sr. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 11 a.m. until Funeral Service at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jeff of Istrouma Baptist Church. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. Special thanks to Pinky Templet for her care and attendance to Virginia during the last two months of her illness.
