He was preceded in death by his wife, Angel Fontenot; son, Brian Fontenot; parents and two siblings.
He is survived by his children, Kim Swain (Mick), Todd LeMay (Lorraine), Tracy Blanchard, and Brett Fontenot (Tracy); and numerous grandchildren great-grandchildren.
Val retired from Coca-Cola as a sales manager after many years of service and was an avid LSU Sports fan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Comite Baptist Church, 12250 Greenwell Springs Rd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
