A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Steve died at his home on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was 90 years old. He proudly served his country and was a decorated U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W Mount Pleasant Road, Zachary. Steve is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Helen Edwards Paxton; son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Paxton; four grandchildren, Nicole, David II, Robert and Wesley; sister, brother and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynda Diane Paxton; son, Kerry Lee Paxton; and granddaughter, Candice Christine Templeton.
