Shirley Ann Price

Shirley Ann Hardesty Price, passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Flora Madeen Hardesty. A native of Eldorado, Arkansas and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, where she spent the last 19 years with her beloved husband, Donald Price. Shirley was the loving mother of Jeffrey Wise, Kathy Price Vice, Rebecca Wise Gomez (Mike) and Christine Wise Luquette (Rudy). Sister to Jimmy Hardesty (Terry). Grandmother to Tracey Harpe Branch, Kayla Deer (Todd), Jimmy Harvey, Devin Luquette (Caroline Bergeron), Ryan Wise ( fiancé Maggie Jachimiec) , Jeremy Wise, Elizabeth Wise, Skye Vice, Kiersten Vice and Annelise Warren. Great-grandmother to Sarah K. Branch, Hunter Smith, Kash Morgan, Hartley Harvey, Braxxton Crowder, Justice Deer, Layden Deer, Keagon Deer, Gavin Gilbreth and Brody Gilbreth. Sister-in-law Ava and husband Johnny Slay and niece Sara Hardesty. Dear friend of Annette “Maw” Zachary and son Samuel Zachary. Shirley preceded in death by her Granddaughter Maighan Wise and Daughter-in-law Amy Wise. Her brothers; David Hardesty (Patricia), Jack Jr. Hardesty (Jessie), Bobby Hardesty, Bill Hardesty, Steven Hardesty and sisters; Carolyn Sue Amy ( Grady) and Judy Campbell (Al). In Shirley’s spare time she loved sightseeing in the mountains of Colorado, taking trips to Disney and the beach in Florida with her Husband. She cherished her grandchildren as she loved watching them play ball, a play at school, taking trip or just spending quality time with them. Earlier in her life, she took great pleasure working as a nurse on Neurology unit.
