Sandra M. Onellion

Sandra McMurray Onellion, 81, of Temple, Texas, passed away on September 6, 2023. Born on September 4, 1942, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sandra was a dear sweet lady who loved children and her Lord Jesus Christ. She always had a song to sing.

Sandra received her education from Baton Rouge High School and later pursued a higher education at Southeastern University in Hammond, Louisiana. She obtained a Master's degree in special education with a focus on early childhood development, becoming a lifelong educator.

Sandra had a deep devotion to her faith and worshiped at Community Bible Church. Her strong belief in God guided her throughout her life.

In her free time, Sandra enjoyed singing in the choir. Her beautiful voice brought joy to those around her and added to the uplifting atmosphere during worship services.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Ashton Phillip Onellion, her parents Ernest and Lucille McMurray, brother Thomas McMurray. She is survived by her son, Damon (Carrie) Onellion, daughter Erin Gail Onellion, and grandchildren Landon and Haley Guerrero, Robert, Alanna and Margot Onellion.

A visitation to honor Sandra's life will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 5-7 PM at Greenoaks Funeral Home. The visitation and funeral services will take place at Community Bible Church on Saturday, September 16, 2023, starting at noon. Following the services, there will be a procession to the burial site.

Sandra McMurray Onellion will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those whose lives she touched. Her passion for education, love for children, and unwavering faith will be remembered fondly by those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
