Ronnie"Ron"L. Huey

Ronnie Huey, a resident of Central and Vice President of Lending at Campus Federal Credit Union, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the age of 65. He was born on May 09, 1948, in Brookhaven, MS. He graduated from Zachary High School in 1966 and attended LSU. He began a lengthy career in banking with City National Bank in 1968 and retired from J.P. Morgan Chase (and its predecessors) in 2005. At that time, he then started a new chapter in his career with Campus Federal Credit Union. Ron is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 43 years, Catherine G. Huey; son&daughter-in-law: Ronnie Jr.&Michelle Huey; daughter&son-in-law, Stephanie Marie&John Atwood; son&daughter-in-law, J. Scott&Ashley Huey; grandchildren, Erica Dartez, Landry and John Hall Atwood, Kain and Bryn Huey; great-grandchild, Samira Dartez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary&Kathy Huey, Harold&Martha Huey; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman B.&Mattie Huey. He will be forever loved and greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 5:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday. Visitation will resume Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, conducted by the Rev. Donald Blanchard. Interment will follow at Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary.
