Chemin, Rodney D.A welder and fabricator, Rodney D. Chemin died at his home in Baker on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. He was 60 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Blackwater United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 from 9 am until Memorial Services at 10:30 am. Inurnment will be in Heucks Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery, Brookhaven, MS. Rodney is survived by his mother, Ella Mae Carpenter Chemin; two daughters, Cocoa M. Chandler and Andrea L. Parker and husband Shane; son, Lyle A. Chemin and wife Amanda; four siblings, Jessie Ray Chemin and wife Phyllis, Carl Wayne Chemin and wife Amanda, Wanda Chemin Whittington and Jan Chemin Case and husband Edward; and seven grandchildren, Kalyn, Lawson, and Morgan Chemin, Jeremy Gill, Joseph Franklin and Jack and Rush Parker. Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Mannie E. "Bud" Chemin; daughter, Paige Rodlyn Chemin; and brother-in-law, Al Whittington. He was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church and a graduate of Central High School. Rodney loved to fish, hunt and play volleyball. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Blackwater United Methodist Church.
