Robert “Bob” John Sadesky, a resident of Baton Rouge for over 45 years, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of 65 years old. After 30 years of service, Bob retired from the Baton Rouge City Police Department as a Captain. Following retirement, he then worked for Senate security at the Louisiana State Capitol. He is a United States Army veteran. An avid reader, skillful golfer, computer whiz, and video game prodigy, Bob enjoyed many aspects of life. Bob was a very talented artist, who was well known in the Baton Rouge community. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many, Bob will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Phyllis Loveland; step son, Dustin Myshrall and wife Stephanie; daughter, Julia Merkel and Chris Pate; grandchildren, Lily, Hunter, Jacob, and Isabelle; sister, Kathy Young; nephew, Seth “Tray” Young III; cousin, Johnny Sadesky and his children, Barry and Laura Sadesky. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Sadesky and brother-in-law, Ed Young. Pallbearers will be Jerry Callahan, Fred Duhe, Dustin Myshrall, Chris Pate, John Stagg, and Michael Vaughn. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 12pm until funeral service at 2pm. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
