February 16, 1980 – December 16, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Benjamin Adams, age 44, on December 16th, 2024. A native of Saint Francisville, Louisiana, Ben was born on February 16th, 1980, and was a cherished son, grandson, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
Ben graduated from West Feliciana High School in 1998, where he was known for his outgoing personality, charisma, and love of baseball. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably for eight years. Upon his discharge, Ben began on the pathway to a successful career as a project estimator, most recently serving proudly as a member of the RepCon family, where his professionalism and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues.
Above all, Ben's greatest joy came from being a father. He had a natural ability to bring people together and was always ready with a joke to bring a smile to anyone's face. His children were his pride and joy, and he took great enthusiasm in guiding and supporting them as they grew.
Robert is survived by his children: Ashton Leigh Adams (and her partner, Derek Daniel), Mason Adams, and Avery Harper Adams; his granddaughter, Magnolia Daniel; his paternal grandfather, Raymond Jean Adams; his father, Charles Christopher Adams (and his wife, Stephanie Adams); his mother, Brenda Gail Gough (and her husband, Tommy Gough); his sisters, Rebecca Adams Polk (and her husband, Derek Bradley Polk) and Sarah Elizabeth Adams (and her partner, Austin Patrick), nieces, Aadyn Christina Polk and Gemma Abigail Polk, and nephew, Walker Joseph Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his beloved younger sister, Christina Charlet Adams; his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Angelini Adams; his maternal grandparents, Robert Chaudoin and Marie Thornhill, and cousin, Adam Doiron.
A viewing will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home at Florida Boulevard on Thursday, December 26th, from 10 –11 a.m. A funeral Mass of the Resurrection to honor Ben's life will be celebrated on Friday, December 27th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Saint Francisville, followed by interment at OLMC Cemetery. A reception is to follow at The Francis following the burial. All those who knew and loved Ben are invited to join in celebrating his life and the many cherished memories he leaves behind.
Ben will be deeply missed but his legacy of warmth, infectious sense of humor, and deep love for his family leaves a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
