Rita Miglicco Doran

Rita Miglicco Doran, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the age of 91. She was a caring daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her time here on this earth doting on her loved ones, working at Farm Bureau, and volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul. Her positive outlook on life is a lesson that she shared with everyone who met her. Rita is survived by her daughters, Linda Purcell (Randall), Cheryl Howze (Frank), and Renee Miller (David); and numerous grandchildren great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Doran; granddaughter, Allison Miller; parents, Sam and Victoria Miglicco; and brothers, Anthony, Percy and Bobby Miglicco. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. We would like to thank the wonderful, dedicated caretakers at Fidelis House III. They treated Ms. Rita like a queen.
