He was born in Portsmouth, OH on July 22, 1959, and moved to Dayton, Ohio as a young man. He was an excellent machinist there for more than 20 years before he moved to Baton Rouge and continued working as a machinist for 13 more years. He had a great love for the outdoors, and spent a lot of time hunting, fishing, driving race cars, four wheelers, and dirt bikes, and ginseng hunting. He built many cabins. He loved tinkering, and could repair anything. He was a very generous man who deeply loved his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Miller; mother, Elaine Pennington; sister, Rowena Leigh Miller; grandparents, Ruth and Eldon Miller; aunts, Brenda Pennington, Kathy Jordan; niece, Tiffani Mills Riccilli; cousin, Tyler Miller and very good lifelong friends, Pam and Jerry Adkins.
He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Keith) Watson of Dayton, OH; a son Ricky (Marcie Parker) Miller Jr. of Dayton, OH; and a best friend of 45 years and mother of his children, Linda Miller; 6 grandchildren, Jackson Miller, Marcus Watson, Kenzie Potts, Micah Watson, Isabella Watson, Maliea Watson; a brother Steve (Nicole) Pennington; an aunt Cindy (Mike) O’Dell; nieces Kristi Miller, Rachel Pennington, Katie (Michael) Rizzuto; cousins, Berneda (Bryan) Patton, Timothy Pennington, Owen Jordan Jr., Brandy Cook, Michael O’Dell Jr.; and friends he loved like family: Jerry Lee Adkins, Tammy (Gary) McNutt, Don (Brenda) Sherman, and Jethro/James Harrell; and a lot of other family and friends, as well as a much loved dog, Holly.
