"In life we loved you dearly; in death we love you still; in our hearts we will always hold a place that only you can fill." Percy passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge at the age of 74. Born in Plaquemine and a lifetime resident of Brusly, he was a retired produce clerk at Albertson's and a U. S. Army veteran with the rank of SP E-4. Percy graduated from Brusly High School, loved to paint, and loved cowboy films. Percy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vera Jane Landry; daughter Sandra Wiley and husband Terry Wiley, Sr.; son Michael Landry; sister Shirley Budd and husband Ernest Budd; brother-in-law Allen Richard and wife Susan Richard; two grandchildren Terry Wiley, Jr., wife Angela, and Kayla Headley, husband Matt; and a great grandchild Eliza Jane Wiley. Percy was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Smith and father Collins Landry. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Matt Lorraine. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Wiley, Sr., Terry Wiley, Jr., Ernest Budd, Troy Budd, Jeff Richard and Matt Headley.
