Patricia Richard Brown

Patricia H. Richard-Brown, native of Chicago, IL and resident of Walker, LA, passed away, peacefully, on November 30, 2023, surrounded by her family, at the age of 83. She graduated from Warwick High School in 1958 and then began working in the medical field for over 30 years as a medical coder. Pat was a member of Live Oak Church and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed making jewelry, gardening, shopping and baking cookies. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pat is survived by her husband of 12 years, Charles Neal Brown; her son, John Scott Richard and his wife Cheri; granddaughter, Brooke Bortnick Hannah, and her husband John; granddaughter, Peyton Scott Richard; great-grandchildren, Ryan Elizabeth Hannah, Paxton Paul Hannah, and Karsyn Ray Hannah; and her niece, Kerry Bond Cothren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Peter Earl Richard; daughter, Kim Richard Bortnick; grandson, Karick Paul Durham; parents, Bailey Bernell and Ruth Umbreit Hudson; sister, Karen Bond; and her brother, John Hudson.

A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 5 pm until 7 pm, and will continue on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 8:30 am until time of funeral service at 10:30 am.
