Maurine Modjeski Patton, 50, a devoted mother, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. A graduate of Lee High School, Maurine attended secretarial school and went on to Washington D.C. to become a legal secretary with Crowell & Moring Law Firm. After living in D.C. for a while, Maurine returned to Baton Rouge to be with her family. Although her health made her availability to socialize less frequent, she always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed the Saints, LSU games, her pets and her garden. She is survived by her son John Ross Patton; father Robert Modjeski and step-mother Ivy Modjeski; siblings: Leland Modjeski, Thomas Richardson, and Kimberly Richardson; step-sister Tracey Callahan and step-brother Scott Chriss. She is preceded in death by her mother Maurine Modjeski; grandmother Maurine Richardson; and brother Robert Modjeski Jr. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5-8pm and continuing on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 10am until service time at 12pm.
