Mary Jo Messer

Messer, Mary JoMary Jo Messer passed away Friday, December 04, 2015 at the age of 99.  She was a native of Stonewall, LA and a resident of Central LA.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived life to the fullest.  She is survived by her children; Jo Ann Morris, Edythe Thompson and husband Curtis and Randy Messer and wife Judy, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years; Leon Messer,  son-in-law Robert Morris, her parents; Walter and Julia Daigle  Abbott, brothers; W. C. Abbott Jr. and wife Edna, William Abbott and wife Elaine, sisters; Jennie Lacobee and husband Houston, Fleba King and husband W.B., Edythe Sholar and husband Andrew, Katherine Pickett and husband Wesley.  Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd .Sunday, December 6, 2015 starting at 5:00pm until 8:00pm.  Visitation will resume   Monday, December 7, 2015 at the funeral home beginning at 9:00am until services in the Chapel at 10:00am with burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers are Todd Thompson, Darrell Thompson, Brad Thompson, Steve Morris, Craig Messer and Jeff Messer. The family wishes to thank the Baker family, Lou DeLaune and Clarity Hospice for the care and love they had for our mother.
