Lynwood Alberes was a truly remarkable husband, father, grandfather, and friend. There were no strangers to him, only friends he had not yet met. Those who knew him best knew of his unending love and pride for his grandson, Cornelius. He began roofing at a young age with his father and competitively boxed. During a lifelong love and dedication to music as a young drummer he toured with Vince Vance & the Valiants. He continued roofing until retirement. After he retired, he continued to volunteer to roof friends and families homes. As he got older he was a basketball enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday morning, November 20th. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Van Lieu; and his children: Jennifer Van Lieu and husband Christopher Louis, Patricia Van Lieu and husband Benjamin Autin and their son Cornelius Kuhn, Ian Alberes and his family, Alexandra Alberes and husband Daniel Ballard and their son Gabrielle. He is also survived by his sisters: Melissa Bolt and Jodi Terry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Freddy Alberes; a sister, Karen Blanchard; and a brother, Clint Alberes.
