Lucille Parrino Vidrine, Age 78, who was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, for over 55 years, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on May 15, 2015. She was born on November 29th, 1936, in Alexandria, LA, and grew up in Cheneyville, La. Lucille was foremost a Christian as a devout Catholic, and always stressed the importance of family, love and selflessness. She was a wonderful mother, and true friend to all. In 1958, she graduated from Our Lady of the Lake Nursing School, and worked for various hospitals and offices throughout her career. She was a member of St. Thomas More Church. She is survived by her husband of 54-years, Thomas V. Vidrine; daughter, Susan Vidrine Griggs, and husband, Paul E. Griggs; son, Chris Vidrine, and wife, Kara Alexander Vidrine; grandchildren, Anna Griggs, Ashton Griggs, Austin Griggs, Adaline Griggs, Aryanne Griggs, Audrey Vidrine and Thomas Vidrine; great grand children, Kaleb Williams and Sylis Williams; her sister, Pat Parrino Stevens; and her brother, Tony Parrino. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Josephine Parrino of Cheneyville; brothers Peter, Sam, Carlo, Joseph, Morris and Nicholas Jr.; and sisters Bessie, Josie, Mary, and Marie. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, May 17th from 4 pm to 8 pm, with a rosary service at 6:30 pm. Visitation will resume at St. Thomas More Church on Monday, May 18th, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Funeral services will be at 10:30 conducted by Fr. Frank Uter. Internment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers's Services, 3772 North Blvd., Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 or the charity of your choice.
